Source: OX Motorcycles | The last few days have been a turning point for OX Motorcycles. After many hours of design, imagining a motorcycle after a render, failed developments and manufacturing challenges, the first OX One leaves the factory. Adrián González – CEO OX Motorcycles: “There is still a lot of work to do: outline the tank and its lines, final finishing touch, painting, the logo … But, we have achieved the most important thing, the OX One is a robust, reliable product and representative of the concept which we had in mind, and which you have unconditionally supported.”
The chassis has been one of the great challenges, the team had to work on a single chassis, which was capable of housing the removable batteries, and, most importantly, providing the necessary strength for the OX One to be a very stable product at the time.
Adrián: “After the success achieved in the chassis, we proceeded to integrate it with the rest of the powertrain components (batteries, motor, controller…); we added the new swingarm and front fork. Everything fell into place perfectly, as planned.
The only thing missing was to “dress” our OX. And this time, she stressed: WE DRESS IT BY HAND! The pre-production bodywork was handmade, before investing in molds, we had to find the perfect “dress”. That is why we still need a few hours of coffee and design. It must be outlined and reduced in size so that it integrates perfectly with the complete aesthetic.”
After the necessary tests, OX Motorcycles is very happy with the quality of their product. Power, stability and above all, the ability to stand out from the rest. It has been a complicated process, but very beautiful.
Adrián González – CEO OX Motorcycles: Very soon, we will begin to produce thousands of little “dreams”. From September deliveries will begin … Keep you posted!
