NIU unveils 2026 product lineup at EICMA: extended range, new design direction and smarter features

At EICMA 2025 in Milan, NIU unveiled its 2026 electric two-wheeler lineup, marking another major step in the brand’s evolution toward smarter, more connected mobility. Building on the success of the NQiX Series launched last year, NIU’s latest models refine performance, extend range, and introduce a fresh design direction, all while pushing deeper into new categories, including high-performance off-road riding.

Smarter scooters: NQiX Series adds Google Maps and a range-extending upgrade with NQiX 1000

The NQiX Series has quickly become one of Europe’s standout electric scooter lines in both L1e and L3e classes, praised for its balance of design, practicality, and digital integration. For 2026, NIU takes it a step further.

The biggest addition is the new NQiX 1000, packing a 15.5 kW peak motor and hitting speeds of up to 125 km/h, with a real-world range surpassing 100 km. The triple 72V / 28Ah removable battery setup provides both extended range and flexible charging options. The NQiX 1000 will land in Europe in Q3 2026, starting at €6,499.

A new face for the city: FQiX Series

NIU is also introducing a bold new design language with the FQiX Series, a lineup created for urban riders who want a mix of style, practicality, and hi-tech.

The FQiX brings a fresh visual identity, with sleek lines, distinctive lighting, and minimalist surfaces that stand apart from NIU’s existing models. Inside, it’s all about connectivity: a 5-inch TFT displayrear radar for enhanced rider awareness, and NIU’s new Link Crown interface that merges navigation, media, and safety functions into a single hub. Riders can unlock their scooters via Bluetooth, NFC, the NIU app, or even a passcode.

Two versions will be available, the FQiX 150 (L1e) and FQiX 300 (L3e), starting from €2,399, with rollout planned for Q3 2026.

Going off-road: XQi family grows with 400 and 500 Models

Connectivity that stays smart

NIU’s digital ecosystem continues to expand with new subscription options for the NIU Smart App. Every new vehicle will include three years of complimentary access, after which riders can choose from plans starting at €2.50 per month.

The app provides navigation, vehicle tracking, smart diagnostics, and other connected features, keeping riders linked to their bikes long after they’ve left the showroom.
