Sébastien Tortelli takes the win on the opening day of the 2026 Red Bull Erzbergrodeo
Sébastien Tortelli claimed victory at the REMUS Rocket Ride* uphill race on the opening day of the 2026 Red Bull Erzbergrodeo, with Stark Future completing a sweep of the top four positions at the iconic Iron Mountain event in Austria.
The two-time Motocross World Champion topped a Stark VARG podium lockout, finishing ahead of teammates Marc Sans and David Herbreteau, while Ossi Reisinger crashed at the finish line but still secured fourth on another Stark machine.
The result was a commanding statement from the electric brand. Of the 275 riders who took part across qualifying and the Super Final, ten were aboard Stark VARG models, and they dominated proceedings across the board. Only fifth-placed Kevin Gallas on a Yamaha and sixth-placed Michael Staufer on a KTM interrupted what would otherwise have been a clean Stark sweep of the top finishers.
The REMUS Rocket Ride course, made up of four steep slopes at the foot of the Erzberg and built in partnership with Wacker Neuson, produced the event’s usual brand of full-throttle chaos in front of thousands of spectators. The 48 fastest qualifiers advanced to the Super Final, where Tortelli ultimately proved the strongest.
Tortelli and fellow Stark factory rider Eddie Karlsson were also confirmed among the field for Sunday’s main Red Bull Erzbergrodeo race, adding another high-profile test for the Stark VARG in one of extreme enduro’s most gruelling environments.

*In the REMUS ROCKET RIDE, riders must complete a three-part steep slope in the fastest time possible. In the qualifying round, each participant has two timed attempts to burn the fastest possible time up the mountain and make it into the TOP 48, who will then compete against each other in the SUPERFINAL.
