Stark Future launches limited-run VARG MX and EX Factory Editions with full KYB works suspension
Stark Future has introduced the VARG MX and EX Factory Editions, two limited-production off-road electric motorcycles developed with input from Racing Director Sébastien Tortelli. The models are based on the existing VARG platform but add works-level suspension, lighter components, and revised electronics aimed at giving riders more control rather than more power.
Production is capped at 200 units for the MX Factory Edition and 300 units for the EX Factory Edition, sold as a single global run.

Full KYB Factory A-Kit suspension
The main change on both bikes is the suspension. Stark says this is the first time a manufacturer has fitted a complete KYB Factory A-Kit setup – as used in competition – on a production motorcycle, rather than a road-going adaptation of it.

The package includes:
- 48 mm closed-cartridge, air-oil separated coil-spring fork with hard-anodized internals and DLC-coated inner tubes
- Mid-speed valve for a wider adjustment range
- Custom spring collar for front-wheel control
- Triple-adjustable rear shock, Kashima-coated body, DLC-coated piston rod
- X-Trig preload adjuster for faster sag setup
Front travel is 310 mm on the MX and 300 mm on the EX; both share 303 mm of rear travel.

Weight and component changes
Beyond suspension, both editions get a set of lighter, factory-spec parts:
- CNC-machined triple clamps, individually numbered 1–500
- 3D-printed titanium footpegs (–140 g)
- Titanium bolt kit (–900 g)
- High-grip seat
- Hand-operated rear brake, subject to regional homologation
- 80 hp Alpha drivetrain
- Dynamic Traction Control integrated into ride modes
- Revised Bio PA6 radiator fan holder
Stark states the titanium parts alone cut more than 1 kg of weight.

MX and EX variants
The MX Factory Edition uses Stark Red graphics, the 7.2 kWh VARG platform, and Dunlop MX34 tires, aimed at motocross use.

The EX Factory Edition uses Forest Grey graphics, an 80 hp enduro-tuned setup, Dunlop Geomax EN91 tires, front and rear disc protection, and hand guards. It retains full road homologation for enduro use.
Sébastien Tortelli on the development
Tortelli said the Factory Editions reflect ongoing lessons from racing across FIM Supercross, SuperEnduro, EnduroGP, Hard Enduro, and Erzbergrodeo, and that the goal was to give riders more grip and precision rather than added power. He described the bikes as built to the same specification he would choose for himself.
