Stark Future rolls out ‘Traction Control’ to VARG Alpha riders via OTA update
Stark Future has pushed a free over-the-air software update to all VARG Alpha riders, delivering ‘Traction Control’ across the MX, EX, and SM Alpha models. The update went live on 21 June 2026.

The system monitors wheelspin continuously across all surfaces – from slick tarmac and painted road markings to gravel, wet roots, and mud – and adjusts power delivery to keep the rider extracting usable grip rather than fighting for it.
“Traction Control, one of the most requested features from VARG riders worldwide.”
Traction Control integrates directly into the VARG’s existing power modes and can be adjusted independently within each one. Riders can dial in higher intervention for maximum stability in technical terrain, or back it off for more rear-wheel movement when conditions and riding style allow. It works alongside the existing power delivery and regenerative braking settings.

The update is exclusive to Alpha models and requires no dealer visit or hardware change. Riders connect the bike, run the update, and the feature is live.

The rollout is consistent with how Stark has positioned the VARG platform from the start: meaningful improvements delivered direct from Barcelona through software, without a new model year or a trip to the workshop.
