Triporteur W1X from Motowatt – France
Motowatt is developing a professional cargo tricycle called the Triporteur W1X (also referred to as the W1X Triporteur or TW1X) for urban and peri-urban delivery services.
Key information about the Motowatt Triporteur W1X:
Target Audience: These cargo tricycles are designed for professionals (food delivery, skilled workers, couriers, hotel & tourism) seeking an efficient, agile, and low-cost means of transport for accessing city centers or increasingly regulated low-emission zones.
Technology: The Triporteur will be equipped with the same modular dual-motor traction system (offering two or three-wheel drive options) that is featured in Motowatt’s W1X electric motorcycle, providing enhanced stability and safety. The motors are integrated directly into the wheels.
Practicality: It is designed for intensive daily use, featuring a large cargo volume of up to 3 m³ and a payload capacity of 550 kgs.
Design: The driving position is engineered for visibility, accessibility, ergonomics, safety, and comfort. The vehicle is designed to be agile with a relatively narrow width of 1.4 m and a length of 3.3 m.
