Source: Source: Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd. | Yamaha Motor has been hard at work improving the TY-E 2.2 electric motortrials bike, and competing in the All Japan Trial Championship to test it out.
The 2.2 version of the motorbike features a lighter and stronger monocoque frame with optimization for rigidity and heat management, as well as a more powerful motor and a smaller, more efficient MCU (motor controller unit).
Rider Kenichi Kuroyama piloted the TY-E 2.2 to a strong finish with 3rd place overall at Round 5 in Hokkaido. As they move into the second half of the season Yamaha Motor will continue collecting data through real-world competition in order to make further adjustments and updates to the bike.
