Press release | Zero Motorcycles, the world leaders in electric motorcycles, has appointed three new dealers to their UK network, with Cardiff-based Amped Motorcycles, PGH Motorcycles in Torquay and Cannon Motorcycles of Witham signing up to sell the six model battery-powered range.
The appointment of the three new dealers takes the total number of official Zero outlets in the UK to 10, with plans to add additional stores in Scotland, Yorkshire and both the North East and North West of England before the end of the year.
Speaking of the new dealerships, Zero Motorcycles’ UK Country Manager Dale Robinson commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Amped, Cannon and PGH to the Zero family. Thanks to our dedicated and extremely knowledgeable existing dealers we are enjoying a strong year, with registrations up 273% on last year. Our current dealerships are concentrated in the London and Birmingham areas, so these appointments can only help continue that growth.”

“Part of our strategy this year has been to take our bikes out on the road, with a series of tryout days at biking hotspots up and down the country. The response to these demo events has been phenomenal and the time is now right for us to build a truly national dealer network. We will now be looking to appoint more dealerships to cover the main urban areas over the coming months, with more to come by 2019.”
Designed and built in California, Zero’s range of fully electric motorcycles combine a thrilling riding experience with green credentials and minimal running costs. All models can be charged through a standard three-pin domestic plug socket, with the optional Charge Tank accessory allowing some models to be charged (to 95%) in as little as one hour through a public Level Two charging outlet.
The six bike range includes the FX enduro model and FXS supermotard, the dual sport DS and DSR and the sporty S and SR roadsters. The fully-loaded Black Forest version of the DSR ZF14.4 is the world’s first electric touring motorcycle, with a range of up to 200 miles and a seamless electric motor delivering a staggering 146Nm of torque.
All Zero Motorcycles are eligible for a UK Government grant of £1500, with prices starting from £8990.
