Stark sets new Guinness world altitude record*
On November 30, 2025, Swiss rider Jiri Zak completed a Guinness World Record* altitude attempt on Ojos del Salado in Chile, the world’s highest active volcano, riding a completely stock Stark VARG EX. Reaching toward 6,900 meters above sea level, the attempt was conducted under sub-zero temperatures, thin air, and volatile volcanic terrain, conditions where combustion engines typically suffer dramatic power losses.

With certified GPS tracking, independent witnesses, and strict data verification procedures in place, the ascent showcased the advantages of electric performance at altitude. The VARG EX’s instantaneous torque, simplified driveline, and consistent power delivery allowed Zak to maintain traction and control where internal-combustion bikes struggle.

“This was never just about a number,” said Stark Future CEO and Founder Anton Wass. “It’s about proving that electric is not a compromise, it can take you further than any combustion bike could.” Zak echoed the sentiment, calling Ojos del Salado ‘unforgiving’ and crediting the reliability of the electric platform for making the attempt possible.

Guy Salens – THE PACK: “Together, these two latest milestones, from the edge of the atmosphere in the Andes to the Erzberg’s brutal hard-enduro battlefield, signal a defining moment for Stark Future. Electric off-road motorcycles are no longer experimental outsiders; they are now racing, climbing, and competing at the very limits of what motorcycles can do.”

About Jiri Zak
Swiss adventure motorcyclist Jiri Zak previously set the Guinness World Record in 2020 for the highest altitude reached on a motorcycle. His expeditions combine mountaineering discipline with technical riding to explore the limits of human endurance and vehicle capability at extreme altitude.
