Yadea opens first Flagship Store in Egypt, expands GT80 Maxi-Scooter rollout

Yadea has opened its first flagship store in Egypt, a step in the company’s broader localization push across North Africa. The brand already has business partnerships in more than 20 African countries and says it will keep building local capabilities alongside partners and users in the region.

The Egypt opening comes as Yadea continues rolling out its GT80 electric maxi-scooter internationally. The model has already launched in Thailand (alongside the related GT80-P), Indonesia, and Nepal, where it’s sold alongside the GS70 and GT70. Specifications vary by market: the Nepal-spec GT80 pairs a 3.6 kWh lithium battery with a 5 kW peak motor for a claimed range of up to 150 km and a top speed of 80 km/h, while other markets reference a dual-battery configuration reaching up to 190 km. Across markets, the GT80 shares a common feature set – traction control, cruise control, hill hold and hill descent control, dual disc brakes, and Yadea’s Smart App connectivity with keyless access.
