In 2018, French entrepreneur Simon Dabadie established DAB Motors as a high-end motorcycle business. Five years later, in 2023, Peugeot Motocycles acquired the company and it transitioned into producing electric motorcycles. With the introduction of its electric concept bike, DAB Motors has gained a devoted following, with famous clients such as J Balvin, FKA Twigs, Marcus Rashford, and Rosalía, and a special partnership with Burberry.
With a limited production of just 400 units, the DAB 1α is set to mark a new chapter for the brand with its highly-coveted and exclusive launch. Crafted in Beaulieu-Mandeure and designed in Bayonne, the DAB 1α represents French design and production at its finest. Recognized with the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in 2021, DAB has perfected its concept and successfully navigated the complex industrialization process to bring their vision to life, a rarity in this industry. A harmonious blend of luxury and technology, DAB Motors is not only influenced by cutting-edge EV technology but also draws inspiration from contemporary design, fashion, and culture.
Crafted and engineered in France, the DAB 1α boasts a state-of-the-art powertrain with a battery that can be fully repaired, disassembled, and recycled. This lightweight bike weighs only 125kg and has a top speed of 130km/h, making it both agile and powerful. With no gears or clutch, it’s easy to ride, designed for ultimate simplicity. Charge it anywhere with a regular home socket or Type 2 charging point.
The design of the buttons and controls on this bike are inspired by the retro world of gaming, taking notes from controllers to create a nostalgic feel. The iconic blue Nitro Button adds an extra burst of speed and excitement, drawing inspiration from the popular 00’s game Need for Speed. Additionally, the design also pays homage to BMX culture with back pegs that can support passengers without compromising on style or aesthetic.
Choose between W-White or MGT-Grey when purchasing your DAB 1α. Every bike includes a numbered golden plate on the handlebar, a certificate of authenticity, and a personalized owner box. This luxury bicycle boasts exclusive elements such as a handcrafted Alcantara seat, adjustable gold suspensions created in partnership with Paioli, and forged carbon components made from recycled Airbus carbon fiber.

The DAB 1α also boasts a 2.8″ LCD display screen, a spacious glove compartment of 3.4 liters, and an optional wireless charger developed in partnership with Quadlock. The braking system features top-of-the-line calipers from industry leader Brembo, paired with a cutting-edge ABS system based on Peugeot Motocycles’ expertise and DAB’s signature brake disks.
